The Deutsch-Indische Gesellschaft e.V. (DIG-Kiel) in Kiel is one of the 30 branches having all together approximately 3500 members. The Deutsch-Indische Gesellschaft e.V. in Kiel was registered on the 6th of December in 1963. Presently, the Deutsch-Indische Gesellschaft e.V. in Kiel is supported by 40 private members. So far DIG-Kiel's main emphasis has been the presentation of Indian folk dance and music. Artists of international fame and a new generation of talents have had the opportunity to present their skills. In addition to our society’s objective, personal contacts have been cultivated during meetings, excursions and Indian celebrations as we as through cooperation with Indian organizations in Germany.
